What we’re about

https://www.riverbankneighbors.org/

Grassroots organization located on the Northside of Chicago on W. Berteau at the Chicago River. We build community through nurturing the soil of the Chicago River bank by protecting native plant species, curating a beautiful natural walking path and educating folks about the natural history of our home.

Join us weekly for stewardship every Sunday, 12-2pm. Tools and gloves are included; just bring your spirit and grit.

Activities include weeding, building fences, spreading seed and most importantly, CONTROLLED BURNS in the spring!

We are a small but mighty crew of neighbors who both celebrate and fight for our nature space in the North Center area, just across from Horner Park.

Learn about native plant species, take in some fresh air and meet other passionate neighbors along the path.
