We are a group that aims to make a little land art by the side of water, inspired by the British land artist Andy Goldsworthy. This is our seventh meeting. We’re going to be meeting at the incredibly picturesque Loch Lomond reservoir, which is actually in Lompico about 20 minutes from Felton downtown. You can join on one of the electric boats we rent, or walk down to the island where we’ll have a picnic. We aim to combine leaves and twigs and stones into interesting pieces of art that we move through the water and make little documentary movies about. It’s a bit of fun. It’s a bit of art. It’s a bit of walking and it’s a bit of social. Come join!

Bring a picnic and something to drink. It’s probably only about a mile of walking. Please note that the lake is at least 20 minutes from downtown Felton through some very twisty-turny roads. So allow time for that. This is the very last weekend that Loch Lomond is open this year until March next year. Should be an amazing experience.

If you want to do a little bit of homework and you haven’t been before, try to find the documentary about Andy Goldsworthy called “rivers and tides.” It’s quite entertaining! Additionally, you can look us up on Facebook and view some of the photos and videos there (look for Rivets and Tides Bay Area.)

We’re going to meet at the office next to the boat rental. Rupert will wear a silly hat so he will be easy to recognize. If you run late ask for the island, which is about a half a mile to the right of the launch ramp down the path.

We have about 7 or 8 people coming.

Rupert (Hart) 6508147873.
