Rivers and Tides Bay Area: Henry Cowell Trip

Rivers and Tides Bay Area is a group that makes art by the side of water, as a homage to British land artist Andy Goldsworthy, whose documentary has the name “Rivers and Tides” (qv). This is our eighth meeting. We will be meeting at Monty‘s log cabin, a bar, and then we will drive down to a parking area and walk over to Cable Car beach on the San Lorenzo River. We then make art as a combination of fir cones, stones, twigs, and leaves and film them going down and floating in the river. So it’s a little hike, a little under 2 miles. People bring picnics and something to drink. It’s a combination of art, hiking and social. About 5 to 10 people come every time. Any questions, text me. Rupert.658147873
