What we’re about
Rivers, Roots & Medicines is a community for those seeking deep connection with nature, themselves, and others through immersive outdoor experiences, plant medicines, and grounded community.
It can be difficult finding real community nowadays. Everything can seem so superficial, artificial, and focused on comfort, image, staus, and short term, selfish gains. This comes at the expense of long term sustainabilty, growth through struggle, and the harsh reality of how evolution happens.
This group is for adventurers, seekers, and those committed to the very real work path of personal growth and cultural transformation.
There are a few different aspects of life here on earth woven together. You may know of the transformative power of mushrooms and other plant medicines. The Mushroom Journey takes a different shape when aligned with the natural world, and who we are when we're connected to that.
We'll connect to nature through river and camping trips, nature connection practices, and the appreciation we have for the beauty of life in all its forms. Nature takes time to resonate. Having a community that sit with it, plays in it, and opens themselves up to the universal wisdom, is a crucial
Our meetups are at a local park or store, or online (book club). We hold "Welcome to Whitewater" meet-ups, short hikes, camping experiences and seasonal nature based events. We also help people move along the psychedelic journey, whether you're a beginner or integrating your psychedelic journeys in a supportive, grounded, and connected way.
This type of community is vital to help each of us along our individual journeys. It's a shared space to reconnect with the wild—both within and around us.
If you want to do a deep dive with us, you can get access to pricing for our full Journeys that just aren't going to be released to the general public. You can read about them on EvolveWild.com. You'll also be part of a deeper community, so the insights from these journeys become part of all of our lives, and expand outward into the larger community, for real, expansive integration!
Flow with the river, root into the land, awaken the wisdom of the wild universe, and find your community here!

## Details
Want to do a deep dive mushroom Journey, but you're waiting for the right setting for a powerful yet safe trip? You want to have the perfect space afterwards to sit with the instights and feelings? You probably want to include a healthy dose of nature in all of this, maybe even some good people on their own deep dive.
Well here's your chance!
This is specifically for people who either:
-Are ready to fully step into an intentional journey for both healing and transformation. You've tried a few things, but you're still struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other issues that mushrooms helps immensely with, and you're ready to do the work. You probably also realize how tied to the larger issues, ecological, societal, and generational, that these issues stem from.
-Or you are psychedelic curious (never done it or had a bad/"weird" time if they did) and want to do a full dive into the abyss legally with a professional facilitators, a strong container, and in the perfect setting. You don't fully know what to expect, but you're pretty sure it's what you're after.
The Journey-
The Mushroom Journey itself will happen in Portland, and PNW Integrative, on August 7th.
The integration portion, spent at an alpine lake in the Cascades (which we're permitted for), will last for 3 days. This is part of the "critical period" after a Mushroom Journey to help you create healthy neural networks with the power of fresh neuroplasticity. It's also a chance to find community around your journey, and anchor your experience in language and in community.
Stepping into the space
We will have an in-person preparation session prior, and you'll talk directly to a facilitator one on one for your preparation session.
You can stay at your own accomodations in Portland for the first part of the Journey. Or you can camp with us August 6th - 8th, and getting on the water the day before the Journey at Milo McIver. What Makes This Journey Magical
One word: Integration. Taking mushrooms and having a powerful trip is one thing. The right container (set and setting, along with other factors) will offer you a safe space where you can explore the inner realm free from distractions, chores, and even screens. Your relationship with the facilitators and group matter. So does the music. But this portion mainly happens inside of you.
What relly makes the difference is when you create space from your everyday life to sit with the Journey afterwards, and what better way to do that than to be in nature! After you go through such a deep inward dive, it's good to have time to unpack it outside of your normal routine with people who hear and see you, and maybe even have some solid guidance.
Your neuroplasticity, or the ability to form new thought patterns and reshape your awareness around things increases in the days and weeks after the journey.
Spending your time this way allows you to be present and really work through the insights and visions you had during your time with the medicine. You will be able to create new neural networks in a place where you feel incredible, with community and facilitators there to support you in your journey. And you've also put yourself in the best position imaginable to allow the mystery to respond to you on its terms.
We put a lot of effort into creating a journey that allows for the most impact imaginable. All you have to do is join it.Next Steps
Please sign up and let us know your interest/intent. We can best gauge how to work with this community with that knowledge. We'll also have a meet-up specifically about this event, where we can plan it out a bit more and meet your specific needs.
You can also message the thread or me (Eric) about anything.
