What we’re about

For those seeking understanding, Journeys and community around the powerful intersection of plant medicines and nature, this is your group!

Plant medicine journeys with nature as the container have a profoundly different impact than either by themselves, though each has plenty of merit in it's own right. But the intersection of the two opens doors of awareness to self, culture, life, and more.

It puts us in a state of openness, and we're able to recieve and interact with the world in ways that simply aren't accessable in our human made worlds. We also immerse ourselves in that "something larger" that we see during these profound moments. We ground ourselves in a world we love, more clearly see our true gift and presence, more easily work with our shadow, our "sacred wound" and more.

Outside of simply opening access and lowering costs to all of this, this group also offers connected community moving forward. The people we share these spaces with know us and see us in ways different than anyone else in our lives. Keeping that connection with others allows for an opening for that version of ourselves to exist in relation to others longer after we move back into our human made worlds.

This is truly for those who want the the deep personal transfomation that takes place on these journeys to blossom into larger social and cultural transformation. This is the part of the journey known as integration, which is hard. It's much harder to do alone.

At the heart of or our events are plant medicine and nature Journeys. Eric is a licensed mushroom facilitator in Oregon, and a licensed outdoor outfitter there. He offers journeys through his company, Evolve Wild, but there is a difference between a broad commercial offering and group and community ones. Those Journeys stay listed through most of the year, and we can work with members schedules.

We will also offer other journeys in the future, with an exlusive focus on legal journeys. This could include Ayahuasca in Peru, mushroom journeys in Jamaica or Mexico, and more. These will be vetted places with trusted guides and companies, and bent towards nature and traditional practices (as opposed to sketchy operations and more resort/ comfort oriented retreats).

We will also have a variety of offerings at different times of year to build local connections, including:

  • Local & Online gatherings (social events, preparation and integration gatherings, etc.)
  • Book groups (these are ancient yet all but erased practice held around the world, and we all could learn about them more)
  • Skills building events - Whitewater kayaking, mushroom foraging, and more. As the group grows we can explore other options based on memer skills and what people request.

If something like this speaks to you, join the group and come out to an event. This could be the very thing that opens up the next chapter of your life!
