Book Club Discussion: The Four Agreements & The Fifth Agreement
Details
“The Four Agreements” is pure medicine in book form — short, accessible, and absolutely life-changing. It's an absolute classic of a book. It's also a perfect refresher to help you get through the upcoming holiday season!
Whether it’s your first read or your tenth, these 4 simple yet powerful agreements open the door to deep personal transformation. They help us release old patterns, move past limiting beliefs, and live with authenticity and freedom.
If you haven’t read it yet, don’t worry — it’s a quick read (160 pages or a 2.5-hour audiobook), but you can read it over and over again and still get something new. I recommend reading each one and practicing that for several days at a time, noticing all the little moments where you break that agreement, before moving on to the next one.
If you're looking for the next step beyond the 4 agreements, the 5th agreement is less widely known, but incredibly powerful book. It is "messenger training," and it outlines parallel steps of the medicine journey beautifully. I've listened to this book many times throught the course of my life. It is a little longer, about 4 hours or 250 pages, but well worth the effort.
You don't have to read both books, as there's plenty of overlap and things to talk about.
We’ll dive into:
🌿 How each Agreement matters in our modern lives
💭 Challenges and insights people have in embodying them beyond just intellectual understanding
✨ The wisdom of The Fifth Agreement — seeing through illusion and reclaiming your voice
