North Umpqua River Rafting 2 Days 1 Night!
High water, High Adventure and a Unique Trip
This early-season trip (late April) is perfect for those who want to experience the thrill of highwater rafting and camping at a fantastic price!
This is only for the rafting portion of this journey. You can do a psilocybin Journey in Portland or Salem pre-trip, but that is not included in this. If there's interest in this option, we'll get a group together and work out specifics.
What we're doing
We’ll spend two full days rafting and one night camping riverside on the "Emerald Jewel," one of Oregon's most beautiful rivers.
We cover:
- Rafting gear + professional guides
- Camping equipment & meals
- Evening fire circle & chill time
- Optional Lodging at the beautiful Steamboat Inn for those who don't want to camp ($200 and up additional)
What You'll Need
We’ll send you a full gear list — but in short:
- Warm layers
- Your own sleeping bag if you're camping (at least zero degrees rated). We can help you with rentals, but these high insualtion bags break down quikly the more we clean them, so it wouldn't be cheap.
- Toiletries (tooth brush and stuff. We'll bring the TP)
- A love for adventure and sense of humor
You’ll be fully outfitted for the rafting portion with wetsuits, splash jackets, and safety gear. Dry suit rentals (optional) additional charges. It is early season and the water is cold (and wet), so a dry suit is preferable for those who get cold easily or don't mind spending a little more.
Camping/Lodging:
There are 2 choices for lodging, both of which we can raft right up to.
-The first is camping. We only have 6 small camp sites. We'll have up to 2 tents each site, and you can chose single or double occupancy if you know someone. Book early if you want a campsite!
-You can also rent your a room directly from Steamboat Inn. Their single rooms are over $200 per night. They do have a few private houses with multiple bedrooms. You can share a place with others on the trip and cut down on costs. We'll get a feel for people who want to do this as the trip fills out and we can work out rooms for those who want.
We will also be camping the night before for those interested. Additional $60 (includes dinner and breakfast)
Who This Is For
- People who are looking for a (relatively) low cost overnight rafting trip and don't mind the cold (or like warming up by the fire)
- Nature lovers, seekers, and explorers
- Anyone needing to reset their nervous system in wild nature

More Details
This will NOT be a publicly advertised trip on Evolve Wild's website or social media. It is just for meet-up people who know what they're getting into.
The flow of the river will be so fast that we'll move through twice as much river as we normally do!
If you click Attend, please be sure to check your notifications and messages through meet-up. We'll have some things pre-trip to help everyone get on the same page.
