What we’re about
Rivers, Roots & Medicines is a community for those seeking deep connection with nature, themselves, and others through immersive outdoor experiences, plant medicines, and grounded community.
The roots of this group are embedded in our connection with the natural world, our true selves, and each other. We also recognize the power of mushrooms and other plant medicines, especially when aligned with the natural world, and who we are when we're connected to it.
We connect to it through nature connection, community, and exporations of nature ant the psyche. This group is for adventurers, seekers, and those on the path of personal growth and cultural transformation.
Our meetups are at a local park or store, or online. We'll hold short hikes, group connection experiences, book discussions, and more locally. We also have camping experiences and seasonal nature based events. We also help people move along the psychedelic journey, whether you're a beginner or integrating your psychedelic journeys in a supportive, grounded, and connected way.
Our group based nature and psychedelic work happens in Oregon, where Eric is a licenced faciliator and permitted outdoor outfitter in the summer. You're welcome to explore that more when you join a local activity, or you can reach out directly.
Whether you journey with us or on your own, this type of community is vital to help each of us along our individual journeys. It's a shared space to reconnect with the wild—both within and around us.

9/20 is coming, so let's do it right!
Yes, 9/20 is about as offical of a holiday as magic mushrooms get. Whether you plan to partake in the holiday on the day of or you're contemplating the magic mushroom journey in the near future, come out and share what's happening with you the day before and get some thoguhts on how to move through your journey.
I (Eric) am a trained mushroom facilitator in Oregon. While I'd love to see a lot more people have a facilitated trip, where intention, set, setting, safety, dosing, and so much more is done intentionally, some people aren't ready for all of that. If you're going to do your own trip, I'd prefer you do it well so you can set yourself up for success!
So we'll have the group preparation session on 9/19 and integration on 9/21. We'll limit the preperation to 8 people to let everyone have time to share, and I'll go over some things first. The preparation will have a bit more structure and advice than the integration session.
Please plan on coming out if you RSVP due to the limited number of spots.
If you're interested in personal preparation for your journey and community around it, you're probably not going to get much better than this!
We will be meeting outside around a fire circle, or we'll move it inside due to weather. Exact address will be given to those who are coming.
