Join us for a community planting day at Playa Dos Rios!

Help RiversEdge West and the City of Grand Junction kick off a new chapter of riverside restoration at Dos Rios! Join us on Thursday, December 3, from 12:00–2:00 p.m. for a volunteer planting event and Adopt-A-Tree Celebration.

We'll be planting more than 200 native plants, including 10 large cottonwoods, and installing protective cages around native plants to help them thrive. These efforts will restore important riverside habitat, provide food and shelter for native wildlife, and help create a healthier, more vibrant river corridor for our community to enjoy.

We'll also take time to celebrate and recognize our generous Adopt-A-Tree sponsors whose support helped make this work possible!

What to bring:

  • Water bottle
  • Work clothes (pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes recommended)
  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.)
  • Your enthusiasm for getting your hands dirty!

Specialized tools will be provided, though you're welcome to bring your own. Light snacks and drinks will also be available.

Whether you're a longtime volunteer or new to river restoration, we'd love to have you join us. Come lend a hand, celebrate community conservation, and help us bring new life to Dos Rios!
