Burning some calories: Castellar - Cima Longoria / Ormea

Hi there fellow hikers,

after the Christmas meals it's time to burn some calories! The weather looks splendidly good for Thursday 26th, winter weather with sunshine, sunshine and sunshine. Thus I propose the tour of the Cima Longoira above Castellar. It is one of the beautiful coastal hikes in the surroundings of Menton with views over the mediterranean from Italy to St Tropez on the one side and the panoramic summits of the Mercantour in the backdrop, already snow covered. Also Corsia is visible if the air is clear enough. It is basically the same as the tour of Roc d'Ormea but going up to the Italian border to say hello to Italy.

Duration: about 2h30 to go up, 2h to go down
