Who we are:
Founded by Richard Kawaguchi, RK English School is a Tokyo-based English Conversation School with a practical, grounded approach to language learning. All our teachers are bilingual English and Japanese speakers who can support students no matter what challenges they face. We aim to bridge the gap between English and Japanese.
Our Approach: Language learning made fun!
We don’t teach dry, textbook-based English. Instead, we focus on teaching students how to actually communicate in English.
What We Do: Create connections
A fantastic feature of RKES is the Lounge, where students get the opportunity to engage in free conversation in both English and Japanese. The lounge is facilitated by our bilingual teachers who use conversation as an opportunity for teaching!
We host events and parties to create a space for both English and Japanese language learners. Join our multilingual environment to meet new people and advance your language learning!
