We often hear that R can’t be used for production, but is this true? Isn’t the statement that R is ‘just a research-only language mainly used by academia’ outdated?
Spoiler alert: you definitely can use R in production. From ETL to (Shiny) web applications to machine learning models: some of the main business processes at Analytic Health are powered by R. During this talk, Veerle will dive into what “production” means and how you can use R in a context outside of academia. By showing how R is being used at Analytic Health and how processes and applications are deployed and managed we hope to show you that R can do more than statistics only. This talk will inspire you to take R one step further, and by providing pointers to which tools you can use to build robust processes you’ll leave this talk ready to use R in production yourself!
