R-Ladies Book club: Happy Git and GitHub for the useR (kick-off session)

Details
Interested in streamlining your workflow by connecting Git and R? Join our book club for “Happy Git and GitHub for the useR” by Jennifer (Jenny) Bryan! The book describes the use of the version control system Git and the hosting site GitHub for statistical and data scientific workflows in R.
After our engaging sessions on “Building Reproducible Analytical Pipelines with R” by R-Ladies Bergen and “Hands-On Machine Learning with R” by R-Ladies Den Bosch, we're excited to team up for a joint book club, together with R-Ladies Amsterdam!
Jenny Bryan herself will introduce the book and be available for questions during the kick-off session!
When: Kicking off on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 16:30 CET (Den Bosch/Bergen/Amsterdam time) – thereafter 17.00 CET every 2 weeks
Where: Zoom
Meeting ID: 255 608 7302
Password: PfYaV9kU
What to expect?
- Book Club Format: Every two weeks, we’ll work through each chapter together. To make this a group effort, the idea is that all participants take turns in presenting chapters. Participants are encouraged to present chapter summaries, but listening in is equally welcome.
- Presentations summarizing key points from each chapter
- Open discussions for questions, insights, and collaborative learning
Feel free to join us at any session, even if you miss the first one. We’ll explore “Happy Git and GitHub for the useR” together – learning is better in good company! You do not have to prepare anything for the kick-off session.
