Join us for a virtual meetup this July to hear from Charlotte Jones-Todd about her journey with R!

Overview from Charlotte: In this talk I will talk you through my journey with R. After my undergraduate degree in pure mathematics I used my laptop to answer the odd email and watch the buffering symbol cloud any TV show I attempted to watch. Now, as most of you, I spend my time digging around the guts of R. Here I'll share some of my experiences and show you how and what I use R for. I'll shamelessly admit to "heavily borrowing" (stealing) ideas and the many, many, rookie mistakes I make daily. All this whilst, hopefully, teaching others about the wonders of R and stats.

Charlotte's Bio: I've just had my 1 year anniversary as a lecturer in statistics at the University of Auckland. I spend my time teaching stats, coding—then fixing—bugs, pandering to my pets, and making gin.

This meeting will be hosted on Zoom. The meeting link will be sent out to those attending closer to the meetup date.

If you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to contact Izzy Johnson (main host) through meet-up!

As with all our meetups, please be aware of and read the Code of Conduct before attending.
