A jouRney: where R can take you

Join us for a virtual meetup this November to hear from Emma Vitz!

Overview: Emma will be talking about her jouRney from teaching herself R as a student to using it at work and delving into data journalism using R. She'll make the case for tapping into the R community and sharing your work publicly, and will share some examples of where this has taken her, including her viral maps on the NZ housing market.

Emma's Bio: Emma Vitz is an actuarial analyst working as a consultant in the insurance industry. She also dabbles in some data journalism on the side. Emma is particularly interested in social inequity, climate risk and natural disasters, and enjoys using R across all of her work.

This meeting will be hosted on Zoom. The meeting link will be sent out to those attending closer to the meetup date.
