From Me to Team: learning to code collaboratively

Details

Join us for a virtual meetup this month to hear from Victoria King!

Overview: Writing code can be an isolated, individual pursuit. The prospect of collaborating on code can be daunting, but there's a lot to be gained from participating in group projects. We'll talk a bit about my journey as a self-taught R student, graduating to using it for work projects, and then I'll share some experiences of making the jump from solo work to team environments.

Victoria's Bio: Victoria is a physiology PhD student at the University of Auckland. Her work focusses on the detection of fetal growth restriction, which now crosses laboratory and clinical disciplines. She still loves making pictures with numbers and good coffee.

This meeting will be hosted on Zoom. The meeting link will be sent out to those attending closer to the meetup date.

If you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to contact Izzy Johnson (main host) through meet-up!

As with all our meetups, please be aware of and read the Code of Conduct before attending.
