R-Ladies Baltimore (Bmore) is excited to host a meetup on Monday June 5, 2023 from 4-5:30pm (virtual meetup on Zoom). We will have an awesome presentation from Dr. Berk Can Deniz (@berkcdeniz, https://www.linkedin.com/in/berk-can-deniz) , a Data Scientist at Figma.

Causal inference's popularity has exploded in academia and industry in recent years. As causal inference's importance grew, R has been one of the most important platforms where cutting-edge methods and packages are created and used. In this session, we will go over popular causal inference methods such as instrumental variables and differences-in-differences, and explore how to apply them in R.

WHO is this for?

  • If you are new to R but want to learn more about packages you can use to estimate parameters in models?
  • If you know R, but want to expand your knowledge about causal inference and how to implement these ideas with code?
