Join us for the fourth meetup for the online boook club discussing **‘Happy Git and Github for the useR**’ by Jenny Bryan. On Tuesday January 21, we discuss the part **Github Fundamentals**, presented by Michelle from R-Ladies Bergen.
For this boook club we - the Bergen, Den Bosch and Amsterdam chapters of R Ladies - are joining forces. In a couple of meeting, we will work through all the chapters in the book together. We are doing this boook club, because we like to learn together. It is not the case presenters are necessarily the experts on the matter. To make this a group effort, the idea is that all participants take turns in presenting chapters. If you’re not comfortable presenting, just listening is also okay.
If you cannot make it this time, feel free to join in on one of the subsequent meetings.

Michelle is a PhD research fellow in human population genetics at the University of Bergen, Norway, with a background in biomedical science and marine biology. She is currently investigating patterns of genetic variation in Norway, which could reveal the country's population history as well as contribute to more precise genetic epidemiology studies and targeted treatments. As you might have guessed, she is a big fan of exploring new fields and interdisciplinary projects. She is learning how to use GitHub to keep track of her research in a shareable and reproducible way.
