This online session will guide participants through key concepts from the *[Happy Git with R](https://happygitwithr.com/)* book, focusing on **[Daily Workflows](https://happygitwithr.com/time-travel-see-past), part 2 (Chapters 30-34)**. Participants will learn how to collaborate effectively using Git and GitHub. Key topics include forking repositories, making pull requests, managing remotes, and handling merge conflicts. By the end of the session, attendees will be able to contribute to open-source projects, sync changes across different repositories, and troubleshoot common collaboration challenges.
Whether you're new to Git or looking to refine your workflow, this session, the fifth in the R-Ladies book club series, will equip you with actionable strategies to integrate version control into your R programming routine.

Josefina is a PhD student in Statistical Genetics at the Free University in Amsterdam. She works on modelling genetic and environmental influences on educational development and on how we can improve these genetic models to reduce bias. She uses R almost every day for her work - she mainly studies structural equation models but she gets excited about all sorts of statistical analyses and data visualisation.
