  • What are we going to learn?
    This talk will be an overview of GitHub and how it can be used to help streamline R workflows. Version control is a great tool for organizing your files and collaborative projects.

  • Who is going to present?
    Dr. Caitie Keumpel is a conservation scientist who is currently a joint post-doctoral fellowship with the University of Queensland and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in UQ's Coral Reef Ecosystems lab. Caitie recently finished a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis at UC Santa Barbara quantifying, mapping and comparing the environmental impacts of major food systems across the land and sea. Her research interests include protected area design, food system sustainability, and managing impacts on coral reefs.

  • When are we meeting?
    We would like to invite everyone to meet at 5:00 pm for an informal virtual chat. An opportunity to say hi before starting the presentation at 5:30 pm.

The presentation will start at 5:30 pm.

  • Where are we meeting?
    We will meet virtually using Zoom, the link will be visible to people who RSVP.

  • What else is needed?
    This will be an interactive ~45 min presentation. If you would like to follow along in setting up git in RStudio please make sure you have installed the following before the session:
