**Who is this for?**

Anyone who has the tiniest interest in a programming language. Especially those who fear taking the first step to write a simple line of code.

**Prerequisites**

Prior knowledge of R programming is not required. This will be a non-technical session to motivate young individuals who are interested in a career related to Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science and Data Analytics.

 Thisaakhya Jayakody graduated from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura with a First Class in Bsc. (Honours) in Statistics. She is the recipient of the 2023 Professor R. A. Dayananda Gold Medal, which is awarded to the student who obtains a first-class pass with the highest GPA at the B.Sc. (Honours) Degree in Statistics. She is currently working as a Data Science and Engineering Associate at Octave. She is also a recipient of a fully funded PhD scholarship from the University of Melbourne.
