Session title: Telling Data Stories at The Pudding
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Abstract: At The Pudding, we create data-driven, visual essays. But how do we go from a basic idea all the way to a finished, interactive experience? In this talk, I'll cover where our ideas come from, how we choose which ones to pursue, and our entire process from idea to completion.
Bio: Amber is a Senior Journalist Engineer at The Pudding, where her work focuses primarily on communicating complex topics and ideas, designing and developing data visualizations for the web, and improving the accessibility of information for a general audience. Before starting at The Pudding in 2017, Amber was a marine biologist and a research scientist.
