A Little JS Goes a Long Way

Details

We are super excited to collaborate again with R-Ladies Tunis to host a new workshop, "A Little JS Goes a Long Way". The Amazing Maya Gans will give an overview of how javascript is used in R with a brief intro to Shiny app.

Thinking of looking at Shiny under the hood? Through using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript this talk will go through helpful use cases to empower you to start customising Shiny. Shiny is an R package that makes it easy to build interactive web apps straight from R. You can host standalone apps on a webpage or embed them in R Markdown documents or build dashboards. It's very easy to write and it is not surprising to see Shiny apps popping up in all manner of applications including healthcare and medical applications.

WHO is this for?

  • If you never worked with Shiny and want to understand how it is used?
  • If you love Shiny app and want to understand more about how it's customised.
  • Both beginners and experienced R users are welcome to join!
