RStats Workshop: Part I

• getting started with R

• exploratory statistics: measures of central tendency & variability, correlations, multi-variate stats

• visualizing statistical analyses: histograms, boxplots/violin plots, scatterplots, bar graphs, saving plots

• Excel/SAS/SPSS vs R?

• Parts II, III of 'Learning Statistics with R' by Dani Navarro (https://learningstatisticswithr.com/book).

• Statistical exploration of the gapminder dataset w/ R

• Probability Distributions & skew, kurtosis
• Inferential Statistics: hypothesis testing, p-value, confidence intervals
