Our first speaker, Keke Wu (PhD student at Univ of Colorado, Boulder) will talk about her research, Understanding Data Accessibility for People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), giving us concrete ideas about how to make better figures and reach the IDD community.

Keke is a filmmaker, a storyteller, a designer, a developer, and a researcher. She has degrees in Digital Media Technology and Japanese Language and Literature, a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production, and is currently working on her PhD in Creative Technology & Design at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her research focuses on visualization and accessibility through the lens of multimedia design and storytelling.

Our second speaker, Andrea Gomez Vargas (one of the winners of the 'most accessible presentation' award at useR! 2021), will talk about how to make an accessible presentation in R, using packages such as RMarkdown.

Andrea studied sociology at the University of Buenos Aires and is currently a sociologist, teacher, and researcher with a focus on gender studies and human rights. She is also a co-organizer of R Ladies Buenos Aires and a part of LatinR.
