Workshop Description

This is for the 2nd session of this workshop.

Part one of this workshop will cover the basics surrounding scraping data from static webpages for research purposes. This will cover finding and selecting data, formatting a simple web scrape in R using the Rvest library.

Learning Objectives (3 max):
• Learn to use R and Rvest to scrape static web pages.
• Understand how data is presented in HTML and how it can be gathered.
• Learn and understand the potential for gathering data using R.
