Creating and sharing R tutorials

Details

Online R tutorials are some of the most effective ways to troubleshoot problems and learn new skills. While we may appreciate tutorials, it can be hard to prioritize making our own to share with the R community. In this meeting, we'll kick off the R-Ladies Gainesville Tutorial Series!

Do you have a solution to a tricky R problem? Is there an R package you've been wanting to learn? The Tutorial Series will provide a framework for formalizing your knowledge, sharing it with other R-Ladies, and getting feedback. We will provide an introduction to tutorials and discuss approaches to making your own.

To follow along, we recommend having R and RStudio installed on your computer, as well as the "rmarkdown" and "tidyverse" R packages.

R-Ladies Gainesville welcomes members of all R proficiency levels, whether you're a new or aspiring R user, or an experienced R programmer interested in mentoring, networking & expert upskilling.

Please RSVP to access the Zoom link before the event.

Please note:
In line with R-Ladies’ Mission Statement to encourage participation in the R community by underrepresented genders/identities (https://rladies.org/about-us/), our events are designed for those individuals (including, but not limited to cis/trans women, trans men, non-binary, genderqueer, agender). If you have any questions, please contact the event organizers.
