Introduction to the {arrow} package

Join us as Nic Crane gives us an introduction to the {arrow} package and showcases some of the packages main functionality - e.g. she will be demonstrating some of the really exciting things it brings to analysing larger than memory datasets in R.
She'll also talk a bit more generally about the Apache Arrow project and how you can learn more.

About our speaker:
Nic Crane is a software developer and a committer on the Apache Arrow project. They are passionate about developer experience, teaching R, and building cool things that super-charge data science work. Nic's been using R for over 10 years, and is currently working at Voltron Data (formerly Ursa Computing) and has previously worked as a data scientist, R educator, and Shiny developer.
