R Markdown and tips from the RStudio Conference

Details

For our first meeting of 2020 we have two talks lined up:

Rebecca Killick (Lancaster University): R Markdown and why I love it (workshop)

R Markdown is a fantastic tool allowing users to write a huge variety of documents with R code embedded. Rebecca will introduce R Markdown and explain why she loves using it. She'll also teach us how to create a simple R Markdown document. If you want to to participate in the interactive element, please bring a laptop with RStudio and R installed. If you have chance also install the knitr package by running the following command.

install.packages("knitr")

Rhian Davies (Jumping Rivers) : What I learnt at RStudio Conference

I'm lucky to be attending the RStudio Conference this year. I'll give a talk summarising some of the new and exciting things I learnt at the conference to share with you all!

---
We will be in Lancaster University Library - Room C135. The session will run from 6pm - 8pm with a short break in the middle. Snacks and soft drinks will be provided.
