November Tutorial: Interactive R flexdashboards!

Our new Mentor Laura, a super-experienced Director of Analytics with deep Marketing specialisation, will showcase how to use the recently released R flexdashboard package to publish groups of data visualisations into a dashboard!

Please bring laptops with R & RStudio installed to follow along with Laura's tutorial. There is NO PUBLIC WIFI in this venue (only eduroam), so it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to install the following packages that are required for participating:

• flexdashboard

• dplyr

• reshape2

• plotly

• knitr

If you're not already familiar with R Markdown, then FYI you'll be getting down 'n' dirty with it this session (!), because Flex Dashboards are created by converting an R Markdown document into a grid oriented dashboard layout. The dashboard flexibly adapts the size of it’s plots and htmlwidgets to the containing web page, hence the name :)
