Join us in our remote meetup to learn about how shiny is being used for dashboards in the NHS! Also, we're not going to give up on the tradition of after-talks socialising, which will take place in the breakout Zoom rooms. So make sure you have some snacks, drinks and some cool webcam background on (behind) you!

Lydia Briggs: "Using Shiny apps for dashboards in the NHS – wrangling and visualising data for tracking patient outcomes."

Lydia is a data scientist in the NHS, working in the Digital Research Environment (DRE) at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). Over the past two years, Lydia has been involved in numerous dashboarding, statistical and analytical projects to aid clinicians with their research and provide insights into hospital operational management and patient care. Lydia has a masters degree from the University of Nottingham in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry and completed her Chemistry PhD in 2019 from the University of Manchester, but decided to change career track in to the world of data using the STEM skills acquired through 5 years of research experience. She is particularly interested in providing training and promoting the benefits of R and coding.
