Analyse your data using GAMs in R – All levels welcome!
Details
Have you heard about generalised additive models (GAMs) and would like to know more about how to use them? Come along to this workshop to get an introduction to GAMs: what they are and when and how to use them.
PROGRAMME
Note the different day (Tuesday) and location (Orikami)!
The event will start at 18:30.
Data Scientist Inez Wijnands will start us off with an introduction to the work that Orikami does and then Evelien will tell us all about GAMs!
Inez Wijnands works as a data scientist at Orikami. She studied Artificial Intelligence with a focus on Computational Cognitive Neuroscience at the Radboud University. At Orikami she uses 'AI in healthcare', combining her main interests.
Dr. Evelien Heyselaar is an Assistant Professor in AI and Communication Science at the Radboud University.
Drinks and snacks will be provided by Orikami.
REQUIREMENTS
Don't forget to bring your (fully charged!) laptop with R and R Studio installed.
You can download the materials from: https://github.com/RLadiesNijmegen/GAMMs
CODE OF CONDUCT
Please take a minute to read our code of conduct -- we are committed to creating a safe and harassment-free environment
https://github.com/rladies/starter-kit/wiki/Code-of-Conduct
R-Ladies events are always free and open to anyone who wants to participate as long as they follow the code of conduct. We are pro-actively inclusive of queer, trans, and all minority identities, with additional sensitivity to intersectional identities. Our priority is to provide a safe community space for anyone identifying as a minority gender who is interested in and/or working with R.
