R-Ladies Ottawa - Fall Event
Details
Come join R-Ladies Ottawa for a fun, interactive mini-coding session! For this event, we will be using data from the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nhis/nhis_2017_data_release.htm) to demonstrate how to analyze "real" data. The data we're required to use in our day-to-day work are often messy, hard to read, and may contain missing values. The goal of this exercise is to demonstrate how to overcome these difficulties in order to find meaningful relationships in the data.
Note: Please bring your laptops in order to be able to participate in this session! We will leave 20-30 minutes at the end for those of you who wish to share your results.
P.S. We put up some starter code to help you load the data in case you need a bit of help to get you started. It's on our GitHub page: https://github.com/R-LadiesOtt/meetup_Oct02_2019
