Git is a distributed version control system used extensively in Free or Open Source Software (FOSS) projects. It provides remarkable speed, efficiency and support for non-linear workflows.

In the introductory Git session, the attendees will learn capabilities of Git. Working with a new repo, dealing with staging and commits, addressing new requirements in branches, sharing the work and multiple models of merging. We will also discuss about 'fetch and merge' vs 'pull'.

Please bring a fully-charged laptop and a setup will be provided to the attendees to explore git concepts and capabilities.
