Microbenchmarking: measuring and improving R code performance

Details
Welcome!
We are so thrilled to have Semiramis Castro as our speaker in our last event of the year. In this session we will discuss the core concepts about Microbenchmarking - that is, how to measure and improve performance of R code. We will base this session on chapter 23 and 24 of the Advanced R book (https://adv-r.hadley.nz/) by Hadley Wickham.
About R-Ladies NL book club
This is the grand finale of a series of events based on Hadley Wickham's Advanced R book, hosted by R-Ladies chapters of the Netherlands.

About Semiramis
Semiramis is a software developer/data scientist who codes mainly in R and Python. She's a recent PhD graduate from the National Autonomous University of Mexico with a focus on genomics of pathogenic bacteria and antibiotic resistance.
