A hacknight is a free-style coding environment, where a group of individuals come together to work on various projects in one space, with the purpose to ask one another questions, ranging from specific troubleshooting to conceptual. These projects can be group projects or individual.

Bring your code and laptop and get ready to enjoy some coffee/hot chocolate and a good working environment.

I will be working on making an R package from code I’ve written over the years. I will be following this tutorial, which anyone can follow step-by-step even without any specific code to add to a package. http://web.mit.edu/insong/www/pdf/rpackage_instructions.pdf

If you do not have a specific project but would like to join, you could start (or finish if you attended the Rladies meetup on Feb 18th) your Tidy Tuesday plots. Tidy Tuesday datasets can be found at https://github.com/rfordatascience/tidytuesday and you can follow this vignette from the awesome ggpubr package to make some pretty plots quickly https://rpkgs.datanovia.com/ggpubr/index.html.

For more plotting ideas/vignettes, check out http://www.sthda.com/english/articles/24-ggpubr-publication-ready-plots and built-in datasets are listed here: http://www.sthda.com/english/wiki/r-built-in-data-sets.
