pRedicaments in R: An R-Ladies Remote Rendezvous
Details
Join R-Ladies Seattle for our first remote meeting on debugging and getting help! Inspired by Jenny Bryan's keynote at rstudio::conf (link below), we will take a deeper dive into how to resolve error messages in R.
We have 2 wonderful speakers who will be presenting.
Christine Stawitz
- I'll discuss my process for sifting through the (often less-than-helpful) documentation that comes with R packages, including function reference, vignettes, and GitHub issue forums.
- I'm a contractor at ECS Federal in support of NOAA Fisheries' Office of Science and Technology. I work on improving coding, documentation, and sharing practices for the software NOAA and academic fisheries scientists use to manage marine resources.
Katie Jolly
- I'll talk about using the {reprex} package for creating reproducible examples. This package makes it easier to write clear, concise, and readable code questions that will get a more helpful response in return.
- I am a data analyst at Ookla. I am interested in spatial data, information design, and civic data projects.
Details:
- We will send out conference call information to attendees who have RSVP'd "Yes" to this event. The call will be taking place over zoom.
- Thank you to Ookla for helping us get set up with zoom!
