Note that we've moved this event from July 16th at 6:30pm to August 5th at noon.

After a 3-month hiatus, we'll be returning with a virtual event focused on allyship in the R-Ladies Seattle community. We will discuss how, as a community of R users, we can make changes to our group so that R-Ladies members who are Black, Indigenous, and POC will feel supported, included, and enthusiastically welcomed and celebrated. We will also use this event as a forum to educate ourselves about how to be anti-racist data scientists, touching on places where allies can be most effective.

We will discuss meetup event best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and changes we are working on for R-Ladies Seattle. We'll also lead a discussion about which projects/changes R-Ladies members would like to prioritize. Your input and participation in this event is welcomed and appreciated.
