git through April: Collaborating in GitHub
Details
Join us over lunch @ noon for 4 hands-on workshops using version control with git and GitHub.
This week
Collaborating in GitHub with Madison Swain-Bowden, Pamela Moriarty, Katie Jolly
Content
Collaborate with others on GitHub by working in the same repository and resolving version conflicts that can result. This content is based on the Carpentries 'Version control with git' (http://swcarpentry.github.io/git-novice/)
All workshop materials can be found at https://github.com/kdillmcfarland/2021-04-02-r-ladies-seattle-online/tree/gh-pages/_episodes/R-ladies
Audience
This workshop is meant for novice git users with some git experience, such as sessions 1-2 of this series. Priority registration will be given to those 1) attending all 4 sessions and 2) local Washington R-Ladies members.
We will be working in command line so those without experience may wish to review basic Unix commands (recommend lessons 1-3 at http://swcarpentry.github.io/shell-novice/)
