Avoid (most of) the command line hassle and use git/GitHub through a GUI or RStudio, including making repositories, tracking files, reviewing versions, and moving to/from GitHub. Some content is based on the Carpentries 'Version control with git' (http://swcarpentry.github.io/git-novice/)

Audience
This workshop is meant for novice git users and no prior experience is required. Priority registration will be given to those 1) attending all 4 sessions and 2) local Washington R-Ladies members.
Prior to the workshop
- Install git https://git-scm.com/downloads
- Make a GitHub account https://github.com/
- Install GitHub Desktop https://desktop.github.com/
- Install R https://www.r-project.org/
- Install RStudio (free) https://rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/
If you have issues with install, an instructor will be on the event Zoom 30 minutes prior to the workshop
