▶️ About Pr. Faïcel Chamroukhi https://chamroukhi.com :
Faïcel Chamroukhi is Professor of Statistics & Data Science in Caen, currently Adjunct Visiting Professor at La Trobe University and has been Assistant and Associate Professor of Computer Science and Machine Learning in Paris 13 and Toulon. He is broadly interested in the mathematical and algorithmic foundations of data science and AI, with a keen focus on modern statistics and machine learning. Common threads of his research include statistical modeling and inference, latent variable models, and learning in high-dimensional and large-scale scenario.

▶️ Abstract of the talk that he will be presenting :
Statistics are foundational to data analytics and learning systems to
infer relevant and interpretable knowledge from random representations of real-world scenarios. In this talk, he will present some contributions in scenarios involving complex heterogeneous time-series data. The developed model-based segmentation and clustering of time-series with underlying hidden structures will be illustrated via some applications in R software.
