A quick flight to the edge of the tidyverse

We are very excited to come together with you to host another online meetup. We are collaborating with R-Ladies Tunis to host the second part of the exceptional online session that introduces codes and R functions using cute, fuzzy creatures by the amazing Allison Horst.

The workshop " Explore tidyverse with the funny MonsteRs - part 2" by Allison Horst will help you to picture the functions in your code as cute, fuzzy monsters, and your data as colorful gems. This workshop will make it easier than ever to understand complicated functions in R and create awesome plots.

Our speaker, Allison Horst is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, UC Santa Barbara, where she teaches environmental data science, statistics, math, and presentation skills courses. She is also the co-founder of R-Ladies Santa Barbara, founder, and organizer of the UCSB TidyTuesday coding club, and was RStudio's first Artist-in-Residence from 2019 - 2020. Her academic background is in engineering (BS Chemical Engineering, MS Mechanical Engineering) and environmental science (PhD Environmental Science and Management). When she isn't coding or drawing, she enjoys hiking and fly-fishing with her partner Greg and their dog Teddy.
