We are delighted to invite you to our next meetup. We will be organizing a new workshop about using JavaScript to improve data science pipelines.

Date/Time: Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021 from 6 PM to 7 PM (GMT+1)
Place: Zoom

▶️ Invited trainer: John Coene

▶️ About John Coene :
John Coene has worked for 5 years in tech companies in China, then, after 3 years at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, he set up his own company (https://opifex.org) He also works with Impact Lab Finance (https://impactlab-finance.com). He is the author of packages such as {echarts4r} https://echarts4r.john-coene.com/, {waiter} https://shiny.john-coene.com/waiter/, {packer} https://packer.john-coene.com/#/, (and more), as well as the book JavaScript for R forthcoming on CRC Press.

▶️ About the workshop:

A brief introduction to using JavaScript with R. No prior knowledge of JavaScript is required.
R has been propelled into web browsers with package such as Rmarkdown and Shiny; combining JavaScript with R is now possible and immensely useful!
This aims to be an elevator pitch to demystify JavaScript and encourage R users to explore it: surprisingly little knowledge of the language brings amazing rewards.
