PyLadies & RLadies Vienna: Intro to R

We are proud to announce the collaboration of the PyLadies and R-Ladies Vienna meetup groups for a series of events aimed at fostering the collaboration and synergies between our communities.

We invite you to join us for the second event of the series: Introduction to R Workshop. Whether you are just starting out your data analytics journey and want to learn some programming basics or are a Python user who would like to add R to your skill set, this tutorial will serve as a starting point for your journey.

We are happy to welcome Camilla Damian as our trainer for this workshop, who will offer an interactive online tutorial where she will cover:

Brief intro to R as a programming language
Data structures and functions
Reading data into R
Basic data visualization in R
Examples and use cases

Camilla is a PhD Candidate in the field of Mathematics in Business and Economics and an experienced useR, who also has years of experience in teaching quantitative methods using R at an undergrad level.

We recommend you install R and RStudio before the start of the meetup (https://cran.r-project.org/ and https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/).

The first part of the series (Introduction to Python) held by PyLadies Vienna will take place on 24.03.2021 online. More information can be found here: https://meetu.ps/e/JSm1s/mTf66/a.

Both events are preliminary steps to our final event: Panel Discussion about conjunction of both worlds with PyLadies and RLadies on board, which will take place on 27.3.2021 at 16:00.
