let‘s GIT to it
Details
What if you could turn back time? With git, an open source software for version control, you can do that - at least for your code, should the need arise.
In our next workshop, Dominique and Nicolas from ipt (https://ipt.ch/) will teach you how to use git to version control your code, and to effectively collaborate with others on that code.
Workshop Preparation:
No previous experience with git required. Please bring a (charged) laptop with the following components installed:
- Git (Download Git): Download and install Git, making a note of where on your computer you install it.
- R (Download R): Download and Install R (if not already installed).
- RStudio (Download RStudio Desktop): Download and Install RStudio (if not already installed)
- GitHub account: On GitHub create yourself a free GitHub account.
