What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

Completed NH48 and ADK46. Finishing up Winter48 now. Hike every Sat & Sun. Favorite trails: enjoyed Great Gulf on Washington and Huntington's Ravine. Knife's Edge is a fav place.

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

I prefer day hikes and longer distance routes.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

Wrapping up Winter48. NE111/115 in progress. NE100 in-progress. WinterADK46 is a goal.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Hmm... Solo pemi loop in a day, ADK Great Range in a Day solo, Ultra Saranac 6 (approx. 31mi, 8700 ft gain, 1 day) ...Tough because they were long in mileage and high in ele gain for one day! Huntingtons Ravine = also tough because it was November, covered in thin ice, solo, with gusts of 90mph at the top.

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

I love hiking year-round. My favorite thing to do!

What Julia is saying about this Meetup Group

Random Group of Hikers is terrific! I'm especially impressed by how much work and great care the organizers put into planning each hike. They really make sure the hike will be a good fit for the people who RSVP, set expectations for prospective attendees, and give attendees everything they need to know to make sure the hike will be an awesome experience for group members and leaders alike.
