What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

AT, Adirondacks, Whites, other flatter things. I've done the Adirondacks and Whites year round. I moved to the area in November so haven't done a bunch of the whites, but it's basically the same thing as the high peaks area.

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

I'm an expert 3 season hiker and an average+ winter hiker. Some people like to travel super fast never stopping or eatting. While I do like the occasional really hard hike, I always take care of myself at the same time.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

My goal is to make some real friends that are into the outdoors the way I am. I've already achieved my hiking goal which was the AT. Now I just do it because I love being out with nature. I mainly rock climb now but I still like to hike sometimes.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Aside from thru-hiking the AT last year, I've done a bunch of peaks in the Adirondacks high peaks area. Probably the hardest was a long posthole hike up Mount marcy and down the other side. Wasn't expecting that much snow that late in May (whoops).

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

Introduction

I'm a serious outdoor kind of guy.
