What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

I hike two, three, four days a week, work and weather dependent. I have climbed several 14,000 footers in CO--more planned for this summer. I have hiked extensively in the Sierra Nevadas and in Desolation Wilderness (also in CA).

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

I am not sure. I usually average 2 miles an hour in the Whites (faster when trail running). I am not a fast hiker. I am consistent.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

To have fun above treeline. I love long distance traverses, ie: the Presidential range (all or just the Southern or Northern peaks) and the Bonds, including the Twins. I want to learn more about backpacking.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Wilson's Peak in Colorado. I love Huntington's Ravine and consider it one of my favorite places to play.

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

I love to hike and want to meet people who are interested in having fun in the Whites and other mountain ranges as well.

What Nancy is saying about this Meetup Group

Thank you Michael and Monica for once again leading a safe hike. We all made up and we all made it down smiling, dancing, and laughing to boot! Can't ask for a better day than that.
