What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

I've summitted most of NHs 4000 footers including the Presis, and have been hiking regularly including winter hiking for the past 5 years. Favorite places include Baxter State Park, Acadia, and the Bonds.

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

I generally prefer day-hikes due to my work schedule, but would be interested in weekend car-camping and backpacking trips. I've bushwhacked several times but find trail hiking more enjoyable.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

Mainly recreational and enjoyment, I find it a great way to discover the wild and meet like-minded outdoorsy people.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Summitted Mt Rainier in Washington (14410 ft summit) in 2013 and Mt Shasta in N California (14162 summit) in 2010, difficult due to the distance and altitude, plus it involved technical mountaineering gear (ice axe, crampons, harnessing in certain sections) - everything above treeline was covered in snow but it was very fulfilling.

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

Yes, I have some recent leadership experience with the AMC, though would be more comfortable leading 3-season hikes instead of winter.

I'm an outdoor enthusiast In the Boston MA area, interested in hiking, skiing, and other outdoorsy stuff around New England.
