What is your hiking experience? (e.g. how long have you been hiking, how often do you get out , where are some of your favorite places, etc.)

Hiked and backpacked in the Appalachians (Whites, Longfellows, Greens, Daks, Catskills, Smokies, Shenandoah and a few other places), Rockies, Cascades and Sierras - all seasons.

What type of hikes do you like best? (e.g. day hikes, overnight backpacks, hikes that may involve off-trail "bushwhacking", etc.)

Hard terrain with route-finding challenges get me interested.

What are your hiking goals? (e.g. just like hiking, enjoy being outdoors, looking to finish one of the "lists", etc.)

Completed the NH48 and not working on any other lists. Right now, I'm looking to do more technical routes - snow couloirs, ice, mixed climbing.

What is the most strenuous/difficult hike that you have done? What made it so tough?

Bonds in Feb, with 60+ mph winds on Bondcliff Ridge, and breaking trail much of the way was tough, but doable. A wet day in the Adirondack Great Range was brutal. Pemi Loop in a day was generally tiring. Long Winter days in the Cascades with over 5000 ft of elevation gain. Hard to pick one...

Do you have any outdoor leadership experience? Would you be interested in organizing and leading your own events with the Random Hikers??

AMC leadership program, about a half dozen AMC co-leads, several Meetup events, and climbing trips for the Univ of Wisconsin Mountaineering Club

I like going up stuff, and getting back down again.
